Bhuvneshwar Kumar wreaks havoc on Afghanistan with 5/4

Virat Kohli’s maiden T20I hundred, and the elusive 71st in internationals, propelled India to a thumping 101-run win over Afghanistan in Dubai. Kohli’s innings drove India to a formidable 212/2 in 20 overs before Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s 5 for 4 sucked the life out of Afghanistan’s chase and gave India their second biggest victory in terms of runs in T20Is.

Bhuvneshwar struck twice in his first over with the wickets of Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who was clean bowled by an inswinging peach. The experienced pro took two more in his next over, with Karim Janat nicking behind before Najibullah Zadran was trapped in front. With his fifth wicket, Bhuvneshwar had Afghanistan reeling at 21/6.
