Mohammad Amir returned sterling figures of 3/22 as Jamaica Tallawahs kept Guyana Amazon Warriors to a below-par total of 142, which they gunned down with four wickets and four balls to spare. The chase, led by captain Rovman Powell’s 44*, gave the Tallawahs their second win of the CPL 2022 season from as many matches.
Amir put the Tallawahs in the driving seat from the word go after Powell elected to have a bowl. In his first over, he dismissed Paul Stirling and in his second, he accounted for Chandrapaul Hemraj. Guyana were wobbling at 5/2, as a result of Amir’s new-ball exploits.
Congratulations to Mohammed Amir for being awarded the @Dream11 MVP for match 4! A stunning display with the ball, taking 3-22.#CPL22 #JTvGAW #CricketPlayedLouder #Dream11 #BiggestPartyInSport pic.twitter.com/XaJBautHZU
