Too early to rule Jadeja out of T20 World Cup: Rahul Dravid

India head coach Rahul Dravid isn’t in a hurry to rule injured all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja out of the forthcoming T20 World Cup after a flare-up of his knee injury that has cut short his participation in the Asia Cup. Amid reports of Jadeja requiring surgery, which will effectively rule him out of the showpiece event in Australia, Dravid said he would like to take a wait-and-watch approach before making any concrete comments with regards to Jadeja’s availability.

”I don’t want to rule him out or make too many comments until we have a much clearer picture and we have a better idea. Especially with the World Cup 6-7 weeks away from now,” Dravid said.

Jadeja is one of three players on the treatment table for India, with Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel the other notable absentees at the Asia Cup underway in Dubai.
