Ehsan Khan strikes and he knows he’s got the big fish. Babar Azam sends one back in the bowler’s direction, and he holds on to a fine, low diving catch to send the Pakistan captain on his way cheaply. Azam could only manage 9 off 8 deliveries as Hong Kong draw first blood in the match that will decide who among the two sides will progress to the Super Four stage.
Pakistan start as favourites but at 40/1, their position after the conclusion of the PowerPlay is not outstanding. They need to post a strong total to guard against an upset and the onus is on Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan to get a move-on.
A brilliant start for Hong Kong as Babar Azam walks back!#PAKvHK | #AsiaCup2022 | 📝 Scorecard: https://t.co/68o82ceTms pic.twitter.com/XEiKEZJN2m
