While Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were struggling to get the sweeps going, Suryakumar Yadav came in and swept his first two balls for fours to blaze off the blocks. He raced to 15 off 7 as his arrival to the crease was at an opportune juncture for India as they were seeking momentum. With Ravindra Jadeja, Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant waiting in, Suryakumar had the license to try and go after the bowling. Suryakumar threatened to hit six sixes in the ultimate over, having cleared the ropes thrice out on the trot but he could only add one more maximum to his name as India fetched 78 in the last five to gallop to a strong total.
