Tim David, who across the last year and a half has carved a niche for himself in various T20 leagues as one of the most talented finishers in the world, has earned a call-up to Australia’s T20 World Cup squad.
David has not represented Australia at the international level yet but the selection committee, helmed by George Bailey, has made a bold call by including the 26-year-old swashbuckler. David’s selection at the expense of leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson is the solitary change from the squad that won the 2021 T20 World Cup in UAE.
