England selectors are likely to drop the out-of-form Jason Roy ahead of the Pakistan tour and T20 World Cup, as per a report in The Telegraph.
Roy, a key cog in England’s wheel since his international debut in 2014, has had a wretched run of frm this summer. The right-handed batter averages a woeful 12.7 in six matches, managing a scant 78 runs with a best of 27. He also maintained a strike rate of only 78.
Roy’s aggressive approach at the top of the order has been symptomatic of how England want to play their white-ball cricket. But according to the aforementioned publication, he might pay the price for the terribly lean patch when England name their squad for the tour of Pakistan on Friday.
