Internet ball-by-ball cricket commentary service gears up for a red-hot summer… be part of the community

The Guerilla Cricket commentary team return today for a red-hot summer – and autumn and winter to follow – of live BALL-BY-BALL coverage of your favourite sport.

After almost a month of audio inactivity forced on us by the suspension of the IPL, we are fully voiced up to bring you the most entertaining internet commentary of England’s two Tests against New Zealand and the mouthwatering inaugural World Test Championship final between the Kiwis and India. Later in July there is plenty of white-ball action as England take on Sri Lanka and Pakistan in ODI and T20 series before India and England repeat the battles of the winter in the return five-Test series, this time on UK soil (with perhaps a greentop or two!)

You can listen – and watch us at work on Youtube and Facebook

And contribute your own thoughts – that may get read out in real time – via @guerillacricket on Twitter. Our audience is the most important element of the programme, next to the ball-by-ball.

We are already the world-leading live ball-by-ball internet cricket commentary service – and will have been for seven years this summer – but recent investment has allowed us to supplement our audio service with daily articles, reports and analysis, which our statspeople say you seem to be enjoying.

You may have already found one of our many articles in your Facebook feed over the past four months, some of them serious, some of them more offbeat. If not, here are couple of examples:

Is there aything to be gained by relighting Bancroft’s smouldering sandpaper

India could lose promising players as US continues expansion of cricketing empire

And here are a some examples of exclusive extracts from a series of new cricket books that we have featured:

The shame I felt walking off the pitch that day has never left me: I was lying to myself and others

There were 24 lbws, of which he gave 17; we barely made it to lunch on day 3: The Secret Cricketer on umpires

Also on our website you will learn how to register four our archive, play the daily Guerilla Prediction League and peruse our merchandise, which includes Tshirts of Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler. So please join us at 10.50amBST for the start of play at Lord’s on Weds June 2 – and remember this will be the place to also listen to the IPL when it resumes, the world T20 finals and the Ashes. Red-hot? We’re not joking.
