James Anderson breaches through Simon Harmer’s defences

A defiant 21-run stand off 77 deliveries comes to an end as James Anderson got one to jag into Simon Harmer and beat his defences to shatter the stumps. South Africa are 172/6, still trailing by 92 runs. The partnership between Harmer and Verreynne had kept England waiting. While they struck three fours between them, the two batters had been happy defending most of the time to keep the England bowlers at bay.

Earlier, Ben Stokes struck in the first over after Tea to pick up the wicket of Rassie van der Dussen. He soon accounted for the well-set Keegan Petersen as well to peg South Africa back.
