Keegan Petersen and Rassie van de Dussen have batted patiently as they raise a half-century partnership to bail South Africa out of choppy waters. South Africa are 106/3, trailing by 158. The duo has put on a useful 34-run stand to keep England at bay. But South Africa still have a lot of ground to cover. Van der Dussen, having walked out to bat with an injured finger, has evidently been in a lot of discomfort. He top-edged a pull off Stuart Broad and then edged one past the slip cordon for a couple of fours. But it hasn’t been easy in the middle for the lanky batter.
