Amy Hunter is trapped plumb by Silver Siegers

The Netherlands women’s team played ODI cricket after a lengthy gap of ten years and nine months at the VRA Ground on Monday. However, the result didn’t go into their favour as they lost by five wickets to an Irish side which outplayed them in all aspects of the game. In the intervening years Ireland has featured in 37 ODIs while captain Laura Delany and wicketkeeper Mary Waldron were part of the squad which won the fifth-place play-off in the World Cup qualifier in Bangladesh in November 2011 and thereby ended the Dutch side’s ODI status for more than a decade.
