South Africa registered an emphatic innings win over England at Lord’s, blowing the home batting line-up to smithereens for the second time in three days to go 1-0 up in the series. Anrich Nortje squeezed the life out of innings with a three quick wickets after lunch, while Kagiso Rabada finished with impressive match figures of 7 for 79. The result handed Ben Stokes his first defeat as England’s full-time Test captain after four wins in a row.
