Only 6 overs were possible in the afternoon session but the morning more than made up for it, with six wickets falling in a high-octane start to the Lord’s Test match. There was ample help for the faster bowlers and England were guilty of squandering their wickets rather easily. In the middle of all this, Ollie Pope scored a fluent 61* off only 87 balls, laying into anything full or on the shorter side as the South African bowlers worked towards getting their radars right with some appreciable assistance on offer.
FIFTY for Popey! 👏
