On Saturday, cricket fans in Birmingham witnessed Cheteshwar Pujara in a refreshingly new avatar as he smashed 26 runs in an over en route to his fast-paced century for Sussex during the Royal London One-Day Cup tie against Warwickshire. During the 311-run chase, Sussex required 70 off the last 6 overs. Pujara engaged his beast mode as he put Liam Norwell to the sword in the final over in the match. He shuffled across, whipped off his pads, muscled length balls over extra cover, and launched one over the bowler’s head with aplomb.
