The ongoing edition of The Hundred bore witness to a new milestone as young gun Will Smeed, representing Birmingham Phoenix, smashed the first century of the competition. The 20-year-old achieved the feat against Southern Brave on Wednesday at Edgbaston. Smeed hit the Brave bowlers to all parts of the ground and racked up the maiden ton of The Hundred tournament off just 49 deliveries. His knock helped Birmingham Phoenix post a formidable total of 176 in response to which, Southern Brave were bowled out for 123.
