Suryakumar Yadav, quite spectacularly, flicked Obed McCoy’s ball over mid-wicket in the fourth T20I against West Indies in Florida. There were shades of MS Dhoni’s trademark ‘helicopter shot’ as Surya brought his supple wrists into action to fetch a maximum.
Obed McCoy was expected to deliver the goods but it was a tough day for him as he conceded a whopping 66 runs in his four overs. He did manage to eke out the wickets of Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik but his economy had already taken a beating by then. The pick of West Indies’ bowlers was Alzarri Joseph, who finished with two wickets for 29 runs in four overs.
