The schedule of the 2022 Asia Cup has been declared with Sri Lanka meeting Afghanistan in the tournament opener on Saturday, August 27 in Dubai. This will be followed by the blockbuster India vs Pakistan clash the following day, also at the Dubai International Stadium.
The schedule was announced by Asian Cricket Council chief Jay Shah on Twitter. The tournament, originally slated to be played in Sri Lanka was shifted to UAE a few days back following the socio-political unrest in Sri Lanka. Ten out of the thirteen games including the grand finale are set to be played in Dubai, with the remainder to take place in Sharjah.
The wait is finally over as the battle for Asian supremacy commences on 27th August with the all-important final on 11th September.
