India defeated Barbados in a comprehensive manner by 100 runs to progress to the sem-final stage of the Commonwealth Games 2022. Jemimah Rodrigues shone with the bat scoring an impressive 56(46), whereas Renuka Singh put on a good show yet again with her 4/10.
India lost its first match against Australia and won the second against Pakistan, which means that they had to register a win in the third match against Barbados to enter the semi-finals.
This is India’s second biggest win in terms of runs. In the semi-finals, India will now face either England or New Zealand.
