Australian legend Adam Gilchrist addressed the elephant in the room and asked why Indian players were not allowed to play in other T20 leagues around the world. The BCCI, presently, prohibits Indian players from taking part in overseas franchise-based competitions like Australia’s Big Bash League.
One of the all-time greats of the game and arguably the finest wicketkeeper-batsman ever, Gilchrist said Rishabh Pant talent excites him but avoided to comment on whether Indian cricket is right in fast-tracking him into leadership roles.
