Angelo Mathews nicks a darter to first slip

Pakistan have been taking striking at regular intervals on Day 3 of the second Test in Galle. However, on the back of a strong first-innings lead, Sri Lanka’s overall lead has gone past 250. Ramesh Mendis took five wickets to skittle out Pakistan for 231. The hosts had reached 22 at lunch in Galle for their second innings with openers Niroshan Dickwella, on 11, and Oshada Fernando, on eight, at the crease. They have been reduced to 117/5, having lost the wickets of stalwarts Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Mathews in the process.
