After Reece Topley sparked a South African batting collapse, England captain Jos Buttler affected a spectacular run-out, leaving South Africa four down with just 6 runs on the board in the second ODI at Old Trafford. Buttler’s acrobatic effort had Aiden Markram walking back for a diamond duck in the fourth over of the innings.
Heinrich Klassen mistimed a flick against David Willey but Markram called for a quick single. Buttler was quick to get to the ball and reverse flick it towards the stumps, with the right glove whipped off his hand. He caught Markram well short of his ground as the batter was run out without facing a single ball.
The Proteas are in serious trouble in Manchester 😬
