Martin Guptill pulls the ball straight to the fielder at fine-leg as Craig Young strikes. It was a head-high short ball on the stumps, and the opener top-edges it to pick the fielder perfectly.
Earlier, a length ball brought about the wicket of Fin Allen as he miscued the across the line swing to leg. It was hit high on the bat and it seemed to be falling in front of mid-on but Barry McCarthy ran and got to it to catch as he dived. The dangerous Allen departed in the fifth over of the innings and Ireland finally have an opening after what was a blistering start for the visitors.
