England fast bowler Mark Wood has stated the possibility of him having to undergo another operation on his elbow after suffering a setback on his return. The 32-year-old express quick sustained the injury first up in March this year, on the tour of West Indies.
He subsequently missed the Indian Premier League, where he was due to represent Lucknow Super Giants, and has been out of action till now. On Saturday, July 16, he played club cricket for Ashington – an exercise conducted just to see how he was holding up, but Wood didn’t pull up well after the game.
