Left-arm pacer Reece Topley bowled an outstanding spell to conclude the Lord’s ODI with figures of 6/24, the best ever by an England bowler in ODI cricket. Topley’s career-best display helped England secure a fat 100-run victory over India despite posting a below-par total. Topley, who was rightfully named Man of the Match, became only the second England bowler to pick up a 6-wicket haul in ODIs. He dealt a double blow early in the chase by getting rid of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan.
The caravan moves to Manchester for the decider of the series on Sunday.
