Jason Roy hits Ravindra Jadeja for a six downtown

Having sealed the series 2-0, India decided to test their bench strength as they face England in the third T20I on Sunday. Rohit Sharma, who has won 14 consecutive T20Is as captain, will look to maintain the streak. England have looked like a pale shadow of their beastly selves in the ongoing series. They need a win desperately to lift their spirits.

It has been a series to forget for Jason Roy, who’s managed just 31 runs off 43 balls at an uncharacteristic strike rate of 72.1. It will take much more than that for his place to come under scrutiny but the opener has looked unusually out of sorts. He did hit Ravindra Jadeja for a six downtown but perished soon thereafter, nicking Umran Malik behind.
