Zac Crawley survives as richochet bounces off the turf

England openers got their team to a flier in the chase of 378 at Edgbaston. Alex Lees and Zak Crawley have got going on this flat, benign surface, with the former even giving Mohammed Shami the charge early on and then picking two fours of left-arm spinnner Ravindra Jadeja, on his early introduction in the ninth over. The pair flew to 53 for 0 in 9 overs. Jadeja created a chance shortly thereafter when Crawley reverse-swept. However, the ball went flush into the ground off his glove, before popping up off his shoe to short leg.
