The morning session ended on an even keel with England taking four wickets, and India stretching their lead to 361 runs. England’s pacers used the short-ball strategy against Shardul Thakur too, and troubled him a fair bit in 20-odd minutes during which he faced 26 balls. India’s No.8 copped a couple of blows to the helmet from Potts before he decided to take on the short ball at his own peril. The top-edge flew towards fine leg where Zak Crawley took a few steps to his left to complete the catch.
The short ball strikes again! 🙌
