Former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis has nominated himself for the new BBL overseas draft, suggesting he’ll be available for at least a portion of the upcoming season. The current Royal Challengers Bangalore captain and former Chennai Super Kings opener was one of four overseas players announced as the first batch of nominees for the draft that is scheduled to be held in August. It’s not a bad time to revisit du Plessis’ one-handed six over cover.
Fellow South Africa batter Rilee Rossouw, former South Africa and current Somerset quick Marchant de Lange and former South Africa and current Namibia allrounder David Wiese were also unveiled by the BBL on Thursday.
