A sublime hundred from Daryl Mitchell, his third of the series, and a breezy cameo by Tim Southee helped New Zealand attain 329 in the final Test against England at Headingley. In an eventful morning session, New Zealand lost three more wickets but managed to add 100 crucial runs. Overnight batsman Tom Blundell notched up another half-century in the series but Matthew Potts ensured the Kiwi didn’t kick on to get a big one. A ball that came back in sharply rapped him on the pads as England broke the century promptly on the second day. Mitchell’s was the last wicket to fall as Stokes jogged back to complete a fine catch.
