Asked to bowl on a bright and sunny morning, England have done a superb job. Stuart Broad removed Tom Latham in the very first over from round the wicket to reinstate his dominance over left-handers. Will Young survived a run-out chance but couldn’t take advantage of that reprieve as Stokes summoned Leach in the 13th over and the left-arm spinner delivered with his first ball. Young played all around an in-drifter and burned a review after being adjudged out on-field. The hosts bowled with discipline and it eventually paid off with Broad removing the big fish Kane Williamson, who looked quite settled in the crease, during his second spell.
