Following the retirements of stalwarts Anya Shrubsole and Katherine Brunt, England Women have handed maiden call-ups to fast bowlers Emily Arlott and Lauren Bell ahead of the one-off Test against South Africa, starting June 27 in Taunton, to kick off the multi-format tour.
Capped in limited-overs cricket, pacer Freya Davies and the allrounder duo of Alice Davidson-Richards and Emma Lamb are also in line for their maiden appearance in whites after making it to the 13-member shortlist. The 20-year-old fast-bowling sensation Issy Wong, who has a WBBL stint in her credentials, has been included as the travelling reserve.
