Ambitious Phil Salt now averages 56.50 in 4 ODIs

England opener Phil Salt is adamant about pushing for a spot in the 2023 ODI World Cup squad under the leadership of Eoin Morgan. The opener was a key figure in England’s rout of the Netherlands, where they scored a record 498 runs in the 1st ODI at the VRA Cricket Ground. Salt scored his maiden century in his fourth ODI match. Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the second encounter, the 25-year-old said that he would like to keep up the good work in every opportunity he gets. And he certainly walked the talk, compiling 77 off 54 balls to get England off to a flier in tandem with Jason Roy.
