(Video) Joe Root brings up hundred in streaky fashion

Joe Root registered his second hundred on the trot while Ollie Pope was approaching 150, as the third wicket pair made hay in the batting friendly conditions on Day 3 at Trent Bridge to take England to 331/2 at Tea. While England managed to score 105 runs at 3.75 in the first session, they got 136 runs in the wicket-less second session at 4.85, with Root being at the heart of the action. Root’s 17th four, an under edge off Daryl Mitchell, helped him rack up his 27th Test hundred, which came off just 116 deliveries.
