New Zealand have got the start they wanted as Trent Boult strikes in the second over. He gets one to move away from Zac Crawley and the ball takes the outside edge, with Tom Blundell holding on to the regulation catch. Crawley falls for 4, England are 6/1.
Earlier, Trent Boult assisted Daryl Mitchell in a 33-run partnership before the centurion fell 10 short of a well-deserved double ton. It was a wide slower ball from Matthew Potts and Mitchell tried to go after it but edged to the ‘keeper, bringing the end of an excellent innings as New Zealand finished with a mammoth 553.
New Zealand 5⃣5⃣3⃣ all out
Well played, Daryl Mitchell 👏
