Chasing a manageable target of 277 against New Zealand, England are in a steady position on Day 3 of the first Test at Lord’s. Ben Stokes had a reprieve on a personal score of 1 and he has made it count to stitch a 67-run partnership with Joe Root. The duo has made sure the order is restored in the dressing room after the hosts lost four wickets for 69 runs. There are two men catching on the slog sweep but Stokes hasn’t been afraid to take the aerial route against left-arm Ajaz Patel, who has been hit for two sixes in the mid-wicket region. Stokes is approaching his fifty in his maiden Test as England skipper.
Six from Stokesy! 🙌
