Durham quick Matthew Potts, who is making his debut today at the Lord’s against New Zealand, netted the big fish as opposition skipper Kane Williamson poked at an away-seamer. Potts was supposed to play a County game at the mecca of cricket recently but England new captain Ben Stokes commanded him not to and be ready for the real deal – Test cricket. And here he is, nipping out one of the best in the business in his very first over at the big stage. It was a regulation take for the wicketkeeper as Williamson pushed at the teasing half-volley only to nick behind.
The stuff dreams are made of! 👏
