Jonny Bairstow has been in the thick of the action this morning at Lord’s in the opening Test versus New Zealand. Kane Williamson’s decision to bat first after winning the toss has gone horribly wrong as Bairstow plucked three catches in the cordon to leave the visitors reeling. The first, was the best of the lot, as he reacted swiftly to dive low to his left and grab a one-handed gem. The resurgent pair of James Anderson and Stuart Broad have shared the spoils, with the former removing both the openers as England prance into ascendancy early in the morning session.
