Newly-installed Test coach McCullum and new captain Stokes engaged in deep conversation on the outfield as they devised strategies for the first Test beginning on Thursday. England desperately want to improve on their wretched record of a solitary win in 17 Tests and the most experienced seamer in the opposition, Tim Southee, reckons that McCullum can enable England to play an exciting brand of cricket in order to turn around their fortunes.
