The Indian Premier League silverware has eluded Royal Challengers Bangalore ever since the league came to fruition. Across the 15 editions of the marquee T20 tournament, RCB has punched a ticket to the playoffs on eight occasions while finishing runner-up thrice – in 2009, 2011 and 2016.
RCB has played 14 IPL playoff matches so far, winning six games and losing eight. They are set to square off with Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The two teams have locked horns 26 times in the tournament, with RR winning 11 and RCB emerging victorious on 13 occasions. Since 2018, RCB have had the upper hand, winning five out of nine fixtures.
