Asitha Fernando returned a career-best 6/51 as Sri Lanka drubbed Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the second Test at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday to seal the series 1-0. The visitors bundled out Bangladesh for 169 runs in their second innings with the 24-year-old pacer providing the star turn.
Once Shakib Al Hasan walked back for a counterpunching 58, it all went downhill quite rapidly for Bangladesh. Asitha went on to add a couple more wickets to his tally to complete his first 10-wicket haul in Tests as he had finished with 4-93 in the first innings.
A superb performance by Asitha Fernando to claim Player of the Match 💥
