A formidable batting performance set up victory for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Supernovas in the opener of the Women’s T20 Challenge, 2022. It was Deandra Dottin who gave Supernovas a flying start with 32 off 17 balls. Harleen Deol (35) and Harmanpreet Kaur (37) built on that solid platform. Smriti Mandhana made 34 as Trailblazers began well in reply but lost the plot shortly thereafter as they collapsed for 1-63 to 7-73 as Pooja Vastraker (4-12), Sophie Ecclestone (2-19) and Alana King ripped through the middle order to hand Supernovas a 49-run win.
