Paraag Marathe will step down from his position as the chairman of USA Cricket after overseeing a fresh election for the role of an independent director at the board. Marathe will draw curtains on his 4-year stint at the helm of affairs of USA Cricket within months after CEO Iain Higgins’ resignation.
Marathe is the first chairman of USA Cricket, the national governing body that was set up with the support of ICC after the now-defunct USACA was expelled by the ICC. Marathe also serves as the president of the 49ers enterprises and executive vice president of Leeds Football Club.
