KL Rahul remains unbeaten on 68 off 51 but he’s been completely overshadowed by a sizzler of a knock from Quinton de Kock, who picked up 38 in the last couple of overs by Tim Southee and Andre Russell. It has sent the records tumbling. De Kock’s 140* is the third-highest score in IPL history and this is the first time an opening combination has batted through the 20 overs in the first innings of IPL. The southpaw reached the landmark with a cut boundary and brought up his second IPL ton off just 59 balls.
What a moment for Quinton de Kock who claims his 2nd century of the #IPL2022 off just 59 deliveries! 🙌 pic.twitter.com/G8toNliorP
