This was a typical case of a start-stop innings from Kolkata Knight Riders with momentum swinging both ways, due to a collapse in the middle phase where they lost 4 wickets in the span of 5 overs. After ending the powerplay on a good note, KKR lost the plot during the middle overs and despite lack of touch, Billings hung in and recuperated the ship alongside Andre Russell who yet again was at his belligerent best in the slog overs, finishing unbeaten on 49.
