Jonny Bairstow (66 off 29) and Liam Livingstone (70 off 42) scripted Punjab Kings’ clinical 54-run victory that keeps their campiagn afloat in IPL 2022. The Englishmen powered the side to 209 for 9 before the bowlers collectively kept RCB at bay, limiting them to 155/9. PBKS have now jumped up to sixth spot, trailing fifth-placed Delhi Capitals only by a small NRR margin. RCB meanwhile, hang onto fourth because of their points tally, but their NRR has taken a blow.
The buoyed Punjab Kings now lock horns against fellow top-four aspirants Delhi Capitals on May 16 at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy.
