Trent Boult took an impressive seven wickets in his first four matches of IPL 2022, but has struggled hitherto, managing just three wickets in seven matches. The left-arm quick was bowling quite decently in the beginning of the tournament, operating at an economy rate of just 7.25 in the first four matches and carving out a wicket every 14 balls on an average. Since then, though, his numbers have taken a beating.
With Rajasthan Royals banking on him as the spearhead, Boult needs to measure up to the expectations big time, especially as the team aims to seal a spot in the top four.
Trent Boult strikes in the first over and KS Bharat departs for a duck.
