Rajasthan Royals’ swashbuckling batter Shimron Hetmyer has left the IPL 2022 bubble and flown back to Guyana for the imminent birth of his first child, the franchise revealed on their social channels. Hetmyer, however, is expected to return to the fold with the Royals sitting pretty for a Playoffs berth. Rajasthan Royals are currently third in the standings and are scheduled to face DC (May 11), LSG (May 15) and CSK (May 20) to round off their league campaign. Hetmyer has been one of their star performers, his 291 runs coming at a admirable strike-rate of 166.28.
