During the 53rd match of the ongoing 15th edition of the Indian Premier League at the MCA Stadium in Pune, Lucknow Super Giants got off to a dreadful start as skipper KL Rahul was dismissed without facing a ball against the Kolkata Knight Riders. It all happened on the fifth delivery of the match being bowled by Tim Southee after KKR won the toss and elected to field first.
Rahul did try to get back after Quinton de Kock turned his back on him after calling for a quick run, but a direct hit from Shreyas Iyer meant that the in-form captain was well short of the crease.
