Mumbai Indians held their nerve in a five-run win over table toppers Gujarat Titans, with Daniel Sams producing a masterclass of death bowling. Tasked with defending 9 runs in the final over, he mixed it up wide yorkers, slower balls and hard length balls to deny the likes of David Miller and Rahul Tewatia. The latter was run out in the third ball, pushing for a brace, after the first two did not yield a boundary. Miller had two real chances at hitting a six to win but missed both as Sams smployed the slower cutters wide of his hitting arc.
