Jofra Archer aspires to make his return to first-team cricket later this month and has conceded that his recurring elbow injury left him fearing for his England central contract. Archer, 27, has not played for England since their T20I series in India last March and has gone under the knife three times in the last 14 months: once on his hand to remove a shard of glass, and twice for his elbow. It has been reported that Archer is unlikely to play Test cricket this summer with the ECB wary of rushing him back from injury.
England speedster Jofra Archer is on his road to recovery having undergone two surgeries in the last 12 months on his elbow.
